988: Suicide & Crisis Lifeline

On July 16, the U.S. transitioned to 988, an easy-to-remember three-digit dialing code that will route callers to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Individuals can call or text 988 or select the chat option at 988lifeline.org to be connected to free and confidential crisis support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, across the United States. The Lifeline is comprised of a national network of over 200 local crisis centers, combining custom local care and resources with national standards and best practices.
