About Us
Lutheran Disaster Response at Oesterlen (LDR) provides disaster response coordination and disaster preparedness training in the state of Ohio and surrounding areas. As the statewide coordinator for Lutheran Disaster Response LDR-ELCA, Oesterlen provides coordination for long-term recovery including repair and rebuilding of homes destroyed by disaster. As the District-wide coordinator for the Ohio District-LCMS, Oesterlen provides early response coordination by meeting basic needs of families impacted by disaster.
Currently, Lutheran Disaster Response at Oesterlen is working in partnership with the Miami Valley Long Term Recovery Group (MVLTRG), to provide repair and rebuilding of homes damaged in the tornadoes from the Spring of 2019 in the Miami Valley.
